What should I know about Nimotop

Nimodipine marketed under the brand namr Nimotop is a dihydropyridine calcium network blocker originally produced for the treatment of high blood pressure. Nimotop (Nimodipine) is used to decrease issues as a result of a certain type of bleeding in the brain (subarachnoid hemorrhage-SAH). Nimotop is called a calcium channel blocker. The body normally reacts to hemorrhaging by narrowing the blood vessel to reduce blood flow. Nevertheless, when the bleeding remains in the brain, stopping blood flow causes a lot more mind damages. Nimodipine is believed to work by relaxing tightened capillary in the brain near the area of hemorrhaging so blood could move extra quickly. This effect decreases mental retardation. Nimotop is normally started asap after the begin of bleeding in the mind, typically within 4 days. Nimotop (Nimodipine) is normally taken every 4 hrs or as recommended by your doctor. If you are taking the tablet form of this medication, take it by mouth with a full cup of water unless your medical professional directs you opposite.Never rest for 10 minutes after taking this drug. Swallow the tablet whole.Never crush. Do not continue using Nimotop (Nimodipine) and tell your doctor urgently in case you experience severe allergic reaction like hives; difficulty breathing; tumefaction of your throat, lips, face, or tongue or any one of these serious negative effects: unusually quick or slow-moving heartbeats; very easy bruising or blood loss, unusual weakness; fainting or severe dizziness; tumefaction in your legs or ankles.
